It’s obvious that education is extremely important, and getting more important every day. You have to be able to think outside of the box and get out of your comfort zone.

When I was a Yellowjacket student working toward my Business Administration degree, I remember a professor holding a different kind of class one day. He took the class over to the old pizza joint on Belknap, and we talked with the owner about running a business. It was the best kind of learning, and I remember it to this day. I think a lot of the professors were good about bringing completely different perspectives to students.

I used my education during my career in the corporate tax field. The small class sizes at UW-Superior and the ability to meet with professors were a big benefit. In the business world, things change all the time, as they do in about anything nowadays. I think professors try to equip students for that.

As I worked my way through college, the affordability of UW-Superior was a great incentive to attend. It’s obvious that education is extremely important, and getting more important every day. You have to be able to think outside of the box and get out of your comfort zone. UW-Superior does that for students. That’s why I make annual gifts to the Superior Fund. So many students benefit from this support, and I ask you to consider doing the same.
