Dorothy McKay Anderson Scholarship. For students in fine arts (art, music, speech) or English letters, preferably a graduate of a Superior or Duluth high school.
Dorothy and George Gott Scholarship. For a sophomore, junior, or senior student who is majoring or minoring in English, in good academic standing, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
John Hennessy Scholarship. For students majoring in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, or foreign language. Students must have a minimum score of 21 on the ACT or 1,000 on the SAT.
Willis B. Hughes Scholarship. For a graduating senior who is accepted for enrollment in a graduate school in the field of history, philosophy, or languages and literature.
Luise Roth Mengel Scholarship. For a student of academic merit with a minor in German. The student should be pursuing a bachelor's degree and must have completed nine credits in a foreign language. Preference should be given in the following order: 1) A female student; 2) A student from northern Wisconsin; 3) A student majoring in another foreign language.
Dr. and Mrs. Ross Stagner Scholarship. Given to three students, respectively, an undergraduate senior majoring in psychology, a Distance Learning student with psychology as one component of an individually designed major, and an undergraduate student majoring in English with an interest in poetry.
William A. Wenninger Humanities Scholarship. To be awarded to undergraduates who show academic promise in one of the humanities, namely history, literature or philosophy.
Current students: Each winter, you will receive notification to your UW-Superior email account when it is time to apply for Foundation scholarships. Applications are typically due in early March and scholarships are awarded for the following academic year, beginning with the fall semester.
Incoming freshmen and transfer students: Your application to the university is also your scholarship application. You will be notified by mail and email if you have been awarded a Foundation scholarship.
