Associate Student Services Specialist (Office of the Registrar)


Associate Student Services Specialist, 100%, renewable twelve-month appointment


Evaluate, and determine course equivalency for post-secondary education history for all new transfer applicants, both domestic and international as well as currently enrolled students and enter course equivalencies into the system. Provide accurate detailed information (orally and in writing) regarding transfer admission and transfer credit equivalency to potential and admitted transfers, continuing students and parents. Assist advisors in determining course equivalencies. Maintain/update transfer website and coordinate transfer of credit for tests, Study Away, and course substitutions. Develop and maintain a database of course equivalency determinations for all UW, Wisconsin Technical Colleges and MnSCU institutions. Coordinate the collection, analysis and maintenance of transfer course equivalencies and articulation agreements and communicate changes/additions to the System office. Process forms and assist with students at Registrar's Office. Analyze data relating to institutions UW-S accepts transfer credit from and the actual transfer credit/courses equivalencies granted. Attend local/regional/national training seminars and conferences. Function as Registrar's designee in the absence of the Registrar.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One (1) year full-time higher education experience
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems


  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Student Information System
  • Higher education experience in the Admissions or Registrar's Office
  • Previous data analysis experience
