Technology Funding Program Results 2013-2014

(updated 5/19/2014)
The proposal requests submitted for 2013-2014 funding were ones that had been unfunded from previous years.  Given time constraints of this years process, it was decided to talk with previous requestors and see if there was still a need for their requested items and projects.  After conformation, the proposals were scored against the UW-System policies.  These scores and the original proposals were presented to the UTC for their deliberation and decision.

Funding requests again exceeded the available funding. Allocation decisions focused on operational costs, equipment replacements for general access labs, and projects that will have the greatest impact on students at UW-Superior.  Below are the links to this years decisions:

Background on Funding Programs

UW-System allocates some designated funding for technology on UW campuses annually. There are two funds, both based on student FTE. The Student Technology Fee (STF) fund is a percentage of tuition revenue. The Classroom/Laboratory Modernization and General Computer Access (CLM) fund is fixed allocation from UW Systems budget. The request and reward process is facilitated by the Chief Information Officer.
