Marcovich Wellness Center Open

Family members can utilize the MWC for free during regular building hours over the weekend by checking in at the front desk. Activities include: open recreation, cardio equipment, weights, and more.

5:00-7:00 pm

Victory Over Violence Exhibit, Swenson Hall

The themes of the exhibit are designed to deepen critical thinking and stimulate dialogue about violence and peace. VOV is inspired by universal principles of nonviolence and respect for all living beings. Its goal is to contribute to a culture of peace through awareness, introspection, individual empowerment and a courageous and creative commitment to dialogue. It encourages respect, trust and friendship among young people, families, schools and communities across all boundaries such as race, religion and culture.VOV is not a program where the participants absorb information but it also provides experiential learning opportunities.

7:00 pm

YAC Open Mic & Variety Show, Yellowjacket Union Shippar Atrium

The Open Mic & Variety Show is a popular campus event in which students share their talents ranging from music, comedy, poetry and more! Family members are also welcome to showcase their talent!

It promises be a night of fun, laughs, and unique performances. Sign-up starts at 6:00 pm.

Sibling Sleepover, Residence Halls

Siblings of UW-Superior students are welcome and encouraged to spend the night in their sibling's residence hall room. Forms will be available at check-in for siblings spending the night on-campus.

Enjoy free coffee and pastries while chatting with UWS students, staff, and other visiting families.

Fall Walk Around, Pattison Park

The First Nations Center invite families to join them for the 26th Annual Fall Walk Around at Pattison State Park. Admission to the park is free (just tell the ranger you are there for the Walk Around).

This is an opportunity to share with the changing of the season - a time to reflect on what the summer has provided and what to look forward to as autumn begins. After a short ceremony, take walk around the lake or explore the trails in the park.

Wacky Chad: Stunt Comedian, Yellowjacket Union Great Room

Laugh until it hurts as stunt comedian Wacky Chad rides another person on his tiny bicycle and handstands on a skateboard. Wacky Chad will reach neck-straining heights on his tall unicycle and defy gravity on an air powered pogo stick. Wacky Chad's award winning pogo stick skills, charmingly funny jokes and antics got him on America's Got Talent (twice!), and a performance at the Superbowl.

Superior Adventures Friends & Family Canoe Trip

Join Superior Adventures for our Friends & Family Canoe trip on the Nemadji River, located here in Superior. This trip will be a great way for the entire family to enjoy a Sunday and the fall colors from the Nemadji River! This trip is for everyone! No experience necessary.

Cost:  $5 per person and includes:

  • Equipment

  • Experienced Trip Leaders

  • Limited Transportation Available
