Phillip of Nazareth is a three piece punk rock band hailing from Duluth, MN. Drawing influences from all across the musical spectrum, the band has spent a lot of time since their inception in 2008 crafting songs that will please the palate of each and every one of their listeners. The band consists of Cory Coffman performing drums and vocals, Josh Mutchler handling guitar and vocals, and bassist, Andy Pletcher who also contributes vocals.
In March 2015, Phillip of Nazareth is embarking on a mid-west tour that will be in support of their brand new album, "Killing Machine", which was recorded by Jason Wussow at Beaner's Central, in addition to being mixed by Mike Guello, and mastered by Max Mileski. The album, which features some beautiful cover art by Mikayla Haynes, will also be available in March.
The band has been performing all across the Twin Ports, regularly, for over 5 years, and it is a common goal among the trio to continue to play out consistently while striving for larger stages and larger audiences. As of early 2015, there are already talks of Phillip of Nazareth recording again by the end of the year, and new material is already being composed and performed live.
More information on the band can be accessed via social media (facebook.com/PoNDuluth) (Twitter: @ponduluth) and various recordings can be streamed at phillipofnazareth.bandcamp.com where the aforementioned album, "Killing Machine" will be soon available for limited streaming and as a source for ordering physical merchandise.Sponsored by the Yellowjacket Activities Crew.
