I wasn’t ready to retire…

I moved up here to the North Woods in 2016 to retire. Clearly, I wasn’t ready to retire because I have gone back to work, added volunteering and more schooling, just in case I wasn’t busy enough already.   I am currently working on an Art Therapy degree in the Visual Arts Department. I already do some art with clients but thought it would be a good idea to understand the principles and theoretical reasons for using art therapy.  While on campus I discovered 91.3 FM KUWS Superior and agreed to volunteer and do a Jazz Show. I love working on the radio and educating folks about the history of women in jazz, so join me Monday nights, on my jazz show “Polka Dot Be Bop”.

What 3 words would you use to describe 91.3 FM KUWS Superior at UW-Superior? Informative, interesting and innovative

What else do you or did you like about 91.3 FM KUWS Superior at UW-Superior? I am learning new skills as most of the show is computer run and my radio days go back to the time of turntables and albums and teletype news. With that, I’m increasing my skill set, getting to know the local music community and working with fun people.
