UW-Superior to host Higher Learning Commission visit April 24 to 25
The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the Higher Learning Commission, which accredits colleges and universities in the north central United States, for a visit from April 24 to 25.
“We look forward to the visit of the accreditation team,” said Chancellor Renée Wachter. “The review gives the university an opportunity to celebrate its tremendous advancements over the past few years and to look forward to ways to continue to serve its constituents effectively in the future.”
UW-Superior has been accredited by the HLC since 1916. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.
“Accreditation is a continuous improvement process that invites the campus to self-examine their practices, policies and core work to ensure that we meet national quality standards,” said Dr. Maria Stalzer Wyant Cuzzo, Co-Facilitator of HLC Accreditation 2017. “UW-Superior has a great tradition of learning a great deal through accreditation and improving our student learning experience as a result.”
