Chancellor Renée Wachter announces new microsite detailing plans for fall return

The following is a message from UW-Superior Chancellor Renée Wachter and the Fall 2020 Planning Team.

Dear Yellowjacket Community,

The UW-Superior Fall 2020 Planning Team has been working throughout the summer on the plans to welcome students to campus this fall, while also putting into place measures to minimize the possible spread of COVID-19 on our campus. These plans were developed in consultation with our local county health officials, CDC recommendations and similar bodies in higher education and athletics, and the University of Wisconsin System.

As a way to keep you and the rest of our community up-to-date with information regarding our fall plans for instruction and related safety measures we have created a microsite, www.uwsuper.edu/fall2020. This microsite contains information which has been sent in prior emails, more details of plans in other areas, and a wealth of information related to fall plans, including:

  • New student information
  • Fall classes
  • Living on campus
  • Student clubs and organizations
  • Student services
  • Athletics
  • International/study away students
  • Building and facility access
  • Clean and safety measures
  • Visitor information

As we are all living with a degree of uncertainty and a shifting landscape, this microsite will be regularly updated with new information, so we recommend that you bookmark this link for easy access.

We remain focused on the health and safety of our community, as well as our strength in providing an exceptional residential experience for our students who join us on campus, as we redefine what a return to campus looks like for our students, faculty, and staff. I thank you for your passion for a UW Superior education as we embrace the year ahead with creativity and commitment to our collective wellbeing. I look forward to seeing our students on campus this fall.

Thank you for your patience as we all navigate the best pathways forward together.
