Community members from K-12 and higher education, health providers, mental health providers, and community managers and leaders joined University of Wisconsin-Superior faculty and staff for the Mindfulness Leadership Workshop at UW-Superior’s Yellowjacket Union.

Sponsored by the UW-Superior Pruitt Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being in coordination with Arizona State University’s Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience, this event brought participants together to have open space for healthfulness, personal balance, and resiliency conversations. Individuals learned how to incorporate mindfulness into their own lives as well as lead mindfulness efforts in their department, organization, or family.

This workshop was led by Arizona State University Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience staff Dr. Teri Pipe, Chief Well-Being Officer; Dr. Nika Gueci, Executive Director, University Engagement; and Tiara Cash, MS Program Manager.

During the workshop, participant learned how to describe the link between mindfulness and leadership, practical tips to infuse mindfulness practice into daily life, and write an Action Leadership Plan (ALP) to guide leading mindfulness efforts.
