The University of Wisconsin-Superior Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA) sponsored an “Appreciation and Thank You” lunch to all local first responders in the Superior area on April 30. Agencies who participated in this great event included the Superior Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Superior Fire/EMS and UW-Superior Campus Police.

The event took place at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the lunch was catered by Chartwells Dining Service. Over 80 first responders enjoyed a meal of spaghetti and sauce, salad, breadsticks, cookies, and refreshments.

Members of the legal studies and criminal justice program, particularly the sponsoring student organization CJSA, where the volunteer servers and hosts of this event. Plans are underway to repeat this event next year.
