The Criminal Justice Student Association won awards at the regional competition in Indiana the weekend of October 13-15, 2017.  

The following students placed in competitive categories at the regionals competition:
Firearms:
Team Awards -

  • 2nd Place - Upper Division - Devin Salas, Desiray Matthews, Ben Dorff
  • 3rd Place - Upper Division - Emily Lear, Taavi Mattson, Gabe Hendrickson
  • 3rd Place - Lower Division - Jay Maynard, Erica Bauer, and Devin from KOP

Individual Award -

  • 2nd Place - Upper Division - Devin Salas

Physical Agility:

  • 3rd Place - Male Under 25 - Devin Salas

Crime Scene:

  • 3rd Place - Upper Division - Gabe Hendrickson, Taavi Mattson, Elizabeth from TAO

Knowledge Testing:

  • 2nd Place - Upper Division - Criminal Law - Ben Dorff
  • 2nd Place - Upper Division - Corrections - Ben Dorff
  • 2nd Place - Upper Division - Juvenile Justice - Taavi Mattson
  • 2nd Place - Upper Division - Police Management - Ben Dorff
  • 2nd Place - Lower Division - Police Management - Jay Maynard

Honorable Mention:

  • Award for getting hurt on the agility course but still finishing - Erica Bauer
