Hale, Heidenreich and Tapper selected for Chancellor’s Leadership Award

The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Madison Hale, Amber Heidenreich and Sarah Tapper the recipients of the 2021 Chancellor’s Leadership Award. This award is given to members of the graduating class who are committed to personal growth and have made a positive contribution to their peers, campus and community.

Madison Hale

Hale has been successful in a wide variety of academic, professional and personal settings. Majoring in social work, the Superior native has been involved with the Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center, Department of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and as a McNair Scholars Program .

Amber Heidenreich

A double major in legal studies and political science, Heidenreich has been active on campus as a member of both the Criminal Justice Honor Society and Pre-Law Society. The Phillips, Wisconsin, native, is also a member of the Yellowjacket track and field team and the hockey team. Heidenreich is also serving as Student Speaker for commencement.

Sarah Tapper

Tapper, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is an art therapy major. She has been involved in the arts community coordinating and curating an art exhibit in UW-Superior’s Jim Dan Hill Library, which featured works of her peers from the Art Education Club, as well as fellow students from UW-Superior’s art therapy courses.

UW-Superior will conduct its virtual commencement at noon Saturday, May 15, with viewing available online.
