Legal Studies and Criminal Justice students honored

Nicole Stodola, Legal Studies major, was awarded the Outstanding Leader Award during the annual Student Involvement Awards Reception held in Yellowjacket Union on May 3, 2017. Stodola was honored for her outstanding work across numerous organizations including Mock Trial, Pre-Law Society, Political Science Student Association and as a Senator in Student Government Association. She was also recognized for her many contributions to key campus units across campus, including the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Stodola graduates this month from UW-Superior.

Also honored for their Outstanding Leadership in student organizations were Charlie Mahlen (President of CJSA and LSTU-CJUS concentration major) and Ryan Kelleher (LSTU major and Vice President of Pre-Law Society and Mock Trial). Both Mahlen and Kelleher are graduating this month.

Karlie Mattson was recognized as an Outstanding Emerging Leader due to her leadership in Mock Trial. Mattson is a Legal Studies major.

Dr. Maria Cuzzo was honored as the Advisor of the Year. Cuzzo advises Mock Trial and Pre-Law Society. She serves as the Program Coordinator for the Legal Studies and Criminal Justice Program.
