UW-Superior's Mock Trial Team hosted UMD's Mock Trial team in a two round, flipped side practice scrimmage on Sunday, February 12, at UW-Superior. This was a pre-regional effort that involved open community juries evaluating the verdicts in the two trials. The Mock Trial team traveled to St. Paul the weekend of February 24-26 to compete in the American Mock Trial Association Regional. If successful in finishing as a top seven team, UW-Superior would be eligible to complete at national level Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) tournament in Geneva, IL. This year's case involves a civil case of age discrimination. Mock Trial team members include Autumn Bass, Karlie Mattson, Nick Muska, Scott Holmes, Arabella Gigliotti, Kenneth Benz, Brittany Hewitt, Reggie Semanko and Melody Maleski. The team is coached by Dr. Maria Cuzzo (Legal Studies and Criminal Justice), Erir Burr and Cassy Burr. Burr and Burr are alumni of the UW-Superior Mock Trial program.
