Dr. Tanzeem Ali and a team of faculty from UWS contributed to a resource book for teacher educators.
Dr. Tanzeem Ali , Assistant Professor of Teacher Education, has been engaged the last two summers in a National Science Foundation-funded project with other Science Educators from across the State of Wisconsin. The product of two workshop sessions over summer 2017 and spring 2018 is a resource book for teacher educators, titled “Environmental Education Activities for Teacher Educators: A Sampling from Wisconsin.”
“This book is a reference to tap into for ideas in environmental education for teacher educators in college classrooms,” said Ali. “The audience for these activities is pre-service teachers in elementary education, early childhood education, and K12 pre-service teachers in teacher education programs.”
In addition to Ali, several other UWS faculty participated in workshops and contributed to the project. They include Chemistry professor Dr. Lorena Rios Mendoza , Economics professor Dr. Praopan Pratoomchat , and Biology lecturer [NAME:RPORTING] .
The book is available online on the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education website. Both a hard copy and a digital version of the book is also available at the Jim Dan Hill Library at UWS.
