SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the free public forum, Preparing Educators for the North, on Thursday, February 21, at 6 p.m. in the Erlenbach Lecture Hall.

Topics to be covered include the future of education in northern Wisconsin and northeastern Minnesota, changes for teaching and learning in our region, and how future teachers should prepare for change.
UW-Superior was created in 1893 as Superior Normal School to prepare teachers for small, rural schools. In its 125 year history, the university’s alumni have included state education leaders, state and national Teachers of the Year, hundreds of superintendents and principals, and thousands of teachers who have served their communities with dedication.
The Erlenbach Lecture Hall is located on the first floor of Swenson Hall, 1610 Weeks Ave., on the UW-Superior campus. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the UW-Superior Foundation. The event is the third of four Alumni Forums during the university’s 125th Anniversary celebration. For more information, visit uwsuper.edu/125.
