Q: Why did you choose to come to UW-Superior?
A: I felt that I was welcomed warmly by Mark MacLean and the Office of International Programs. I felt comfortable to be with this new "family." UW-Superior was the kind of school I was looking for. I like its small class environment, which I think is great for students because they receive more attention from professors. It also has a great natural environment in a beautiful region. At last, it's quite affordable for me and the living expense here is not as high as many other places.
Q: What have you liked best about your experience at UW-Superior?
A: People here are very friendly to me, and I made a lot of friends here. I also enjoyed working for the school, and I learned a lot from the jobs I have had. Winter here is also a fantastic experience!!
Q: Tell us about your experience with the Office of International Programs (OIP).
A: I have been very satisfied with my experience with the OIP. The OIP helped me a lot in getting things done when I was struggling with my application. The OIP has always helped me with any trouble I've had. They would do anything to help me and they cared about me.
Q: What has surprised you most about your experience at UW-Superior?
A: It's not as hard as I thought to be alone in a different world. I was also surprised by how protected and healthy the natural environment is.
Q: What advice would you give to an international student who is considering attending UW-Superior?
A: Be active while you are here. There are so many activities you can join. Don't just stay in your room - go hang out with new friends and you will be surprised by what you see.
