Interim Multicultural Affairs Coordinator
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Language/Spanish.
One of my accomplishments is creating/founding, and implementing a non-profit organization for students at risk from the K-12 setting, The Metamorphosis Project. In addition, coordinating workshops for parents, Parents And Students Succeeding (PASS), teaching K-12 students, leading conferences related to issues of how to best educate students at risk and collaborating with local organizations to support our Community. As an Associate Student Services Specialist for this university, I work assisting and supporting students with educational issues as well as coordinating, developing and implementing programs to retain and graduate multicultural students with our mission of student SUCCESS!
My motivation to make a difference in the student educational experience has inspired me to undertake research regarding how to best support and educate English Language Learners and students from multi-cultural backgrounds, and to pursue my doctorate in education (Ed. D).
