Lawton Undergraduate Minority Retention Grant (for undergraduate students)
The Lawton Undergraduate Minority Retention Grant program is to provide financial assistance to statutorily designated (African-American, Hispanic, Native American (or American Indian) and Southeast Asian of Vietnamese, Cambodian or Laotian descent) minority undergraduate students who entered the United States after December 31, 1975 to improve their opportunities for retention and graduation and lessen the burden of student debt.
The Lawton Undergraduate Minority Retention Grant Program is designed to increase the retention and degree attainment for underrepresented racial/ethnic minority students at all UW System institutions. Achieving that outcome not only increases and strengthens the compositional diversity of the UW System undergraduate student body, it also improves the educational experiences and learning environments for all students.
Advanced Opportunity Program Fellowship Grant (for graduate students)
The AOP Fellowship is provided by the State of Wisconsin and is intended to provide financial support for minority and disadvantaged graduate students which will allow them to focus attention on their graduate studies and to complete their degrees in a timely fashion.
