What Is Cybersummer?
Cybersummer is a computer technology camp designed to expand computer knowledge and give students the opportunity to experience life on a college campus.
How Is It Designed?
This program seeks to engage learners in innovative, interactive, and transformative learning experiences. It focuses on conceptual development through hands-on experience that includes inquiry, creativity, aesthetic expression and problem solving. Learning is approached as a shared responsibility among students, instructors and counselors. Classes are designed and implemented by experienced teachers and content experts. Co-curricular social and recreational activities are carefully planned and delivered to compliment the instructional day.
Who Can Participate?
Cybersummer is for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students who attend Milwaukee Public Schools.
Where Is It Held?
Cybersummer is held on the campus of the University of Wisconsin - Superior, which is located in beautiful Superior, WI. UW-Superior takes pride in its designation as Wisconsin's Leading Public Liberal Arts College. It provides its 2,900 undergraduate and graduate students with quality academic programs, small class sizes, and a friendly, supportive atmosphere. A solid liberal arts program offers the skills needed to perform on the job and in society. How Do You Get Here?
Transportation will be available at no cost.Students will be picked up and dropped off at the Milwaukee Education Center.
