Currently enrolled students paying segregated fees and faculty/staff at UW-Superior are eligible to use all facilities and may participate in scheduled activities. A valid university identification card is required for access to the facility. Faculty and staff should inquire at the MWC Welcome Desk regarding memberships. All members must check in at the MWC Welcome Desk prior to activity.  All children ages 13 and under must be supervised by an adult while participating in recreation activities.

Appropriate Attire

A change of shoes to wear for exercise is encouraged. Appropriate athletic shoes and apparel are required throughout facility.  No street shoes are allowed on competition surfaces.  Shirts must be worn inside the Minnesota Power Weight Room and Toby and Sharon Marcovich Fitness Center.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drugs

Consumption of alcohol, use of tobacco (chewing or smoking) products and use of drugs are prohibited in all facilities and during all events. UW-Superior reserves the right to remove from the facilities anyone suspected of using alcohol or drugs.

Campus Policy

Facility Reservations

The Marcovich Wellness Center facilities can be rented for your next party, meeting or sporting event. We will try to meet your request to the best of our ability. Requests will be based on availability of facilities and staffing requirements. Priority will be given to academic classes, athletic events and campus recreation. 

Meeting spaces and activity spaces are reserved through the Campus Recreation office. A fee may be administered for the use of facilities and staff. A facility request form must be completed and turned in at least 10 working days prior to the requested day. These forms are available on our Campus Recreation website.

Locker Rentals

Lockers are available for rent to current MWC members on a semester, academic year, and full year basis. Lockers in the general locker rooms are $10/semester. Locks are available for purchase for $5 each. Sign up early because these lockers go fast. See the MWC Welcome Desk for more details.

Equipment Checkout

The MWC Welcome Desk has equipment that may be used on a daily basis. Indoor and outdoor game equipment is available for multiple sports. A current membership is required.

Court Reservations

Reservations can be made for open recreation on a "day of" basis. You can utilize our online reservation form for a group or call 715-395-4610 . Stop by the MWC Welcome Desk for more information.


Mortorelli Drive and Catlin Avenue have free on street parking between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. All campus lots are monitored Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. To park in a campus lot you must show a valid UW-Superior parking permit. Parking permits can be obtained by visiting Parking Services.
