Given to three students, respectively, an undergraduate senior majoring in Psychology, a Distance Learning Program student with psychology as one component of an Individually Designed major, and an undergraduate student majoring in English with an interest in poetry.

For students enrolled full-time at UW-Superior who wish to pursue a career in working with persons with disabilities. The recipient must have a major in Elementary Education with a minor in Adaptive Education/Special Education along with pursuing a degree program and/or certificate to work with persons with disabilities. The recipient must be entering their undergraduate junior or senior year at UW-Superior, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and show some level of financial need. The recipient must also include a paragraph in the scholarship application outlining their personal commitment to and involvement with persons with disabilities.

For a graduate student enrolled in the Educational Administration program at UW-Superior.

For a distance learning student majoring in Communicating Arts.

For a student in a distance learning program.

Half of this annual scholarship is awarded to a student in the Distance Learning program and the other half to a student in teacher education.

For students in a distance learning program.

For students majoring in English, preferably incoming freshmen.

For students in the Masters of Science Education – Special Education Program. Applicants must submit a 300-word essay describing how the applicant would, as a special educator, deliver services to students with disabilities, work with other educators, and what strategies for intervention the applicant would use.

Games and simulation programs are used in education from kindergarten all the way to post-graduate exams and career practice. We understand today, that people have different learning styles and we often benefit from strong visuals as well as building our muscle memory. Not only do games provide relaxation outside the classroom but they also promote incredible logical thinking skills, coordination skills, as well as an understanding of coding and digital practice - a skill that is going to become ever-prominently needed in the future.
