To provide financial support for non-traditional UW-Superior female students who have been affected by domestic violence.

For a non-traditional, full-time female student who is in her junior or senior year, and who has a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater. Student must submit an essay describing how this scholarship would assist her financially with her education, and preference should be given to the student who demonstrates the highest need within her essay. If a junior is chosen, the scholarship will be renewed once for the following year, as long as she maintains full-time status and 2.5 GPA.

For a non-traditional student of merit who is pursuing a degree in Education.

For students who are veterans, or sons or daughters of veterans.

GameAuthority acknowledges how important gaming is in the learning experience. As games have progressed in recent years so has its use across many industries, as well as in education.

Games and simulation programs are used in education from kindergarten all the way to post-graduate exams and career practice. We understand today, that people have different learning styles and we often benefit from strong visuals as well as building our muscle memory. Not only do games provide relaxation outside the classroom but they also promote incredible logical thinking skills, coordination skills, as well as an understanding of coding and digital practice - a skill that is going to become ever-prominently needed in the future.

Are you an undergraduate student that is using gaming or simulation programs to better your education in your studies? We’d love to hear how it’s advancing your learning experience and setting you up for success. If you think you can take on the challenge, please elaborate on your educational gaming experience in an essay! The student that best expresses their thoughts will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

College Student Award: $2,000 + free Huggable baby formula for 1 year

High School Student Award: $1,000 + free Huggable baby formula for 1 year

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the requirements below. Please read the requirements carefully to ensure you meet eligibility before applying.

Must be a graduating high school senior in your final semester who has been accepted to university or must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or technical institution in the United States.

Must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident.

Must be a single mother, child of a single mother, or closely impacted by a single mother.

All fields of study and GPAs will be considered.

Awarded annually to four students:

  1. An incoming student from Superior Senior High School
  2. A full-time undergraduate junior or senior student majoring in Business and Economics
  3. A full-time undergraduate junior or senior student majoring in Teacher Education
  4. A non-traditional student.

Intended for women age 30 and older who have decided to enroll in school to pursue their passions and open up more doors for themselves and others.
