For all student athletes regardless of the sport they are engaged in or the capacity in which they participate. 

 

For a full-time student majoring in one of three departments: Human Behavior, Justice, and Diversity; Social Inquiry; and Health and Human Performance - with the award alternating each year. The HBJD and Social Inquiry recipient should have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4.The HHP recipient should submit a 500-word-or-less essay regarding how they personally balance scholastic activity and achievement with personal health and physical fitness. 

For a full-time female student majoring in Health and Human Performance who has shown leadership in her major field. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at UW-Superior during the two semesters prior to the award.

For students in various health fields to work toward a future in which obesity and its related problems can be controlled.

For new or continuing students of high academic potential and performance majoring in the Natural Sciences and/or Health Professions.

For students in Health Promotion.

For students who are committed to a lifetime of healthy habits.

For a freshman male student with financial need majoring in Health and Human Performance.

For a student who has their own passion for health and technology and can use their imagination to forecast where these subjects may lead us into the future. 

 

Awarded to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields.

For a student pursuing a degree and career in the strength and conditioning field: Exercise Science, Human Performance, Physical Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Training, Personal Training, Exercise Physiology, Human Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Anatomy, Physiology, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sport Science, Physiotherapy, Sport Coaching, Education, Health, Sports and Fitness Administration, Sports Medicine, Sports Studies

Not included: Chiropractic, Sport Management

For college or high school women who are striving to lead healthy lifestyles and is committed to maintaining personal wellness. 

 

For a UW-Superior student pursuing a Coaching certificate.
