For students in fine arts (art, music, communication, media, theatre) or English, preferably a graduate of a Superior or Duluth high school.

For a student with a 3.85 or higher GPA and who has completed all the freshman core courses in music (theory and ear training).

For the top student academically in the sophomore theory class, with at least a ninety percent average.

For a graduate of Ashland High School in pre-professional studies towards dentistry, medicine, veterinary, pharmacy, nursing OR music with preference to stringed instruments or voice.

For undergraduate students who are at least in their junior year but no further advanced academically than the first semester of their senior year, and who have completed at least two years of enrollment at UW-Superior. Students must major in Theatre or Music or both, have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 in their Theatre or Music major. Students shall have participated actively in any phase of the public performance activities of the theatre or music programs at UW-Superior.

For students of academic merit majoring in Music, preferably incoming freshmen.

For a student of academic merit who is pursuing a degree in Music. The student must demonstrate a past work history or experience working as a volunteer in their community. The student must also demonstrate financial need.

For a Music major in good academic standing, must be a sophomore or higher.

Full-time Music major with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The recipient's principal instrument must be the keyboard (piano, organ or harpsichord), and the recipient must have demonstrated outstanding performance skills. First preference given to junior or senior students. If no junior or senior student fulfills the criteria then the scholarship may be awarded to a sophomore or an incoming freshman who shows outstanding keyboard performance potential.

For undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior students majoring in music with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 and financial need.

For students who meet these criteria:

  1. Must have achieved at least sophomore standing at the time the scholarship is awarded
  2. Must play one of the following instruments: violin, viola, cello or double bass
  3. Must study privately with a member of the UW-Superior music faculty
  4. Must be a member of the UW-Superior Chamber Orchestra
  5. Must be a Teacher Education major, except that in the case there is no Teacher Education major who meets all other criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to a Music Performance major who meets the other criteria

For full-time Music strings students. Preference given to students considering a career in teaching.

For a music student.
