Software Center

Through Software Center, you can install necessary Windows updates on your own schedule to avoid interruptions while you are working. You will have approximately one week to install the updates before they are installed automatically. Updates that require a reboot will give you a 24 hour warning.

To see what software is available to you, go to your Start Menu and type Software Center in the search field. Click the Software Center link and a window will open showing you all of your software download choices.

To install any of the software listed, simply click on the application you want, and choose “Install”

Microsoft OneDrive Client

OneDrive for Business is an integral part of Office 365 and provides a place in the cloud where you can store, share, and sync your work files. You can update and share your files from any device with OneDrive for Business. You can even work on Office documents with others at the same time.

Microsoft Office 2016

Office Enterprise 2016 is an integrated set of general purpose office applications. The Professional Plus version that we provide is a suite which contains the most wide range of Office tools available. In addition, this release offers a new set of tools such as OneDrive for Business.

KeePass

KeePass is a free open source password manager, which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key file.

Mozilla Firefox

Firefox is the highly popular free web browser that more than 500 million people worldwide are using to surf and interact with the Internet.

Greenshot

Greenshot is an elegant screen capture tool for Windows that offers many of the same features as its proprietary counterparts. Greenshot offers default print screen settings with hotkey combinations that capture a screen, a window, or a region of either.

Windows 10

Perform a self-upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. This upgraded is intended to keep all current user data, settings and installed software. If an incompatibility is found, the upgrade will automatically revert back to Windows 7. This upgrade may take 2 hours or more and it is suggested that you start this at the end of your work day or during a time where you will not need to use your computer for several hours. Even though data should not be deleted, it is a best practice to backup any essential data before performing the upgrade. You will find the upgrade available in the Software Center under the Operating Systems tab in the left side column.

Windows Updates

To install Windows Updates from the Software Center, go to the Updates tab in the left column. Click the “Install all” button in the top right corner of your screen. You can continue working while the updates are being installed, but be aware that a reboot may be required during the update process.
