Present Your Work

Throughout the year, UW-Superior students have opportunities to present their research or creative work to the campus community, within their discipline, and at statewide events. Additionally, several opportunities are available for students to have their research published to various audiences.

Day of Celebration

UW-Superior Day of Celebration of URSCA – The campus URSCA showcase is open to all students. First and second year students are encouraged to take part and share their research, scholarly, or creative work. Students interested in the Day of Celebration may contact the URSCA office for more information.

Research in the Rotunda

Selected students will present their research in Madison at the Capitol Rotunda to legislators and state leaders for Research in the Rotunda. Six projects will be chosen to represent UW-Superior at this event on March 11, 2020. Travel is coordinated and paid for by URSCA for students attending this event.

UW System Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity

The University of Wisconsin System’s annual showcase of undergraduate work is hosted by a different UW campus each year. The Symposium is an opportunity for students in all disciplines to showcase their work. This year the event will be held April 24th, 2020 at UW-Whitewater.”

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

This year’s National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) will be held at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana from March 26-28, 2020. Travel assistance is available through the URSCA office for students accepted to attend this event. Apply online.

St. Louis River Summit

The St. Louis River Summit is held on the UW-Superior Campus in the Yellowjacket Union , in March. This annual conference is an opportunity to share research and information about the St. Louis River Estuary. Student participation is encouraged and welcomed.”

Opportunities to Publish Research


Metamorphosis - Council of Public Liberal Arts College's inter-disciplinary journal of undergraduate work. Published twice a year - spring and fall. Submissions accepted each semester, due by the end of the semester; faculty mentors should submit on behalf of students directly to Metamorphosis.

Submissions to Metamorphosis should come directly from faculty mentors on behalf of students.
