Veterans and Non-Traditional Student Center - UW-Superior

What drew you to UW-Superior?

When making the decision to go back to school, I was concerned about class sizes, environment, and the quality of education that I would receive. After careful consideration, the University of Wisconsin-Superior became my new home for academia.

How does being a veteran or a nontraditional student (25+, married, or parent) affect your progress toward a college degree?

Being a veteran and a nontraditional student doesn’t make you a better student, nor does it mean that we have an easier time. For a lot of us, it means that we are more focused on what our plans are, and we attempt to do them in the most expeditious manner possible. In my case, I was able to do my Associates of Arts degree in one year.

How Has the Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center Assisted you in Adjusting to life on campus?

The Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center, is a place where all veterans and nontraditional students can come together, share experiences, and help each other out. Whether you choose to come on a daily basis, weekly, or, just stop by for an occasional visit, rest assured you have home and people to help you at the Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center.
