Description: The content covered in this course will address a wide spectrum of health and behavioral concepts with focus areas in: behavioral science, nutrition, kinesiology, exercise science, screening and fitness assessments, client program design, and legal and ethical concerns related to allied health professions. Special consideration for children and seniors will be covered along with other special needs populations. Students will understand how to design and coach both healthy populations and special needs populations through nutritional and fitness behavioral change and exercise programming. Students will gain the knowledge required of an entry level health coach and will also be eligible to sit for an approved certification upon completion.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of HHP 282, HHP 362, HLTH 366, or consent of Instructor.
