About

Angie is the Director of the Upward Bound, serves as the TRIO Manager at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and also oversees the GEARS program, a 6-8 pre-college program. For more than a decade, she has shaped the lives of hundreds of young first-generation students. Her favorite part of Upward Bound is recruiting new students and guiding them through their journey to the day they open the acceptance letter from the college of their choice.

Angie’s professional experience includes positions in an assisted living facility, children’s home, juvenile treatment center and a non-profit agency providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Angie lives in Superior and has a daughter who plays the piano and loves robotics. She likes to take her to country music concerts, shopping, and on bike rides in the summer. Angie enjoys long hikes with her black lab named Penny, watching hockey, camping, fishing and cooking.
