About

Megan received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University. Upon completing her degree she found a passion for helping others. She attended Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado for a B.S. in Human Services, Addictions Studies. After completing her degree she attended the University of Colorado Denver to receive her M.A. in Educational Psychology. Her independent research study was conducted throughout Europe and was focused on student-teacher engagements, student success in the classroom and observations of learning styles being taught at international schools. She was able to observe and complete research at international schools in Germany, Spain, Austria, and France. Her biggest philosophy in life is to meet students where they are and give them the tools needed to be successful in their learning environments.

Megan has a passion for helping others. She spent 3-months living in a homeless shelter in Denver Colorado, working with women and children escaping battered and abused homes. She also worked closely with high-risk, high-need clients suffering from drug addiction. She completed her training to be an Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado and before moving to Wisconsin worked with clients in the Drug Court program on their treatment team. Outside of her professional interests, you can find Megan traveling around the world, snapping photos, spending time with her nephew, eating at all the delicious local restaurants and exploring the outdoors.
