From Satire to Reflection: A Dynamic Evening with the UW-Superior Symphonic Band

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present its Symphonic Band Concert on Tuesday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.

“This concert will feature the monumental work Satiric Dances by Norman Dello Joio,” said Steven Siegel, DMA, UW-Superior director of bands and trumpet. “Additionally, the program will include Day on the Prairie by Ed Kiefer and Minerva by Jan Van der Roost.”

Student conductors Hendrick Hicks and Keagan Hanson will make their conducting debuts, leading the band in Victory by Noah Taylor and The Heart’s Reflection by Daniel Elder, respectively.

Tickets are $5 for adults and free for students. Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main, 1710 Weeks Ave.
