The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Kruk Gallery will feature the works of artist Sterling Rathsack in the exhibition “In Siam,” on view from November 20 through February 17. The exhibit is free and open to the community.

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, UW-Superior has partnered with the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center to bring Rathsack’s work to campus.

In the 1990s, Rathsack created a body of narrative art based on his two and a half years of military service in Southeast Asia. The collection reflects on the disruptive nature of war and the collateral damage experienced by all sides. Recently, the complete set of works was donated to the Bong Veterans Historical Center.

A gallery celebration will be held Thursday, January 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Kruk Gallery.

The Kruk Gallery, located in the Holden Fine Arts building at 1805 Catlin Ave., is open Monday through Friday, 3 to 7 p.m.
