The month of May brings a variety of changes to the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus. As trees and grass slowly awaken from their winter dormancy, the pace of student activity accelerates.

For some students, this means preparing for final exams and wrapping up the spring semester. For others, it marks the culmination of their academic journey at UW-Superior, as they prepare for commencement, which will take place on Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. in the Siinto S. Wessman Arena.

Before that celebratory day arrives, many seniors have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and accomplishments through Senior Year Experience and capstone events.

“It was extremely rewarding to present the research I spent months working on,” said Sadie Kunz, an environmental science major from Randolph, Minnesota. “Watching others present something they are passionate about was incredibly inspiring.”
