Holidays for Heroes Card-Writing and Learn About Becoming a Red Cross Volunteer

Yellowjacket Union Shippar Atrium | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Red Cross collects over 10,000 messages of thanks and Holiday greetings that are distributed to local military units and Veterans. During Red Cross Day, people are invited to write notes of appreciation for these local Heroes.

Hands-only CPR

Yellowjacket Union Shippar Atrium | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Red Cross staff and volunteers will be training in delivering hands-only CPR and familiarity with using an AED. Hands-only CPR is conducted without rescue breaths, which makes it simple to learn and easy to remember. This valuable skill takes less than 15 minutes to learn.

Refugee Exhibit

Yellowjacket Union Great Rooms | 10 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. | Zoom Options

UW-Superior students will teach fellow students, community members and faculty/staff about refugees and international humanitarian law and the Red Cross by facilitating an exhibit titled “Refugee” for 90 Minutes. Times are 10-11:30; 11:30-1; 1-2:30; 2:30-4; and 4- 5:15.

This event it hosted by the Link Center’s Academic Service-Learning, the Veterans and Nontraditional Student Center and the Political Science Program.
