Counseling and Mental Health Services

In-Person and Telecounseling Services

Student Health and Counseling Services offers both in-person and telecounseling services throughout the year to all eligible students. Eligible students are those who have paid all tuition and fees for the current semester. Telecounseling uses a secure teleconferencing platform for students residing in Wisconsin and Minnesota only. If you live outside of Wisconsin and Minnesota, contact SHCS and schedule a telephone consultation for assistance locating mental health services near you. For students who do not have a safe and confidential way of accessing the internet for telecounseling services, SHCS has a private room with secure internet access located in our office that can be utilized.

Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) provides psychiatric care and referrals for the following needs:

  • Medication management
  • Consultation
  • Chronic mental health disorders
  • Assessment
  • Personal counseling (sessions are limited)
