Family Stories Project: Part 2
Storytelling weaves a tapestry of shared history that binds families and grounds individuals, fostering resilience, belonging, and purpose. It equips people to face life’s challenges with a sense of rootedness and support, while preserving cultural and moral legacies for future generations. In this two-part session we will explore the transformative power of narrative storytelling within the context of family. This two-part session delves into how family stories shape individual and collective identity, fostering deeper bonds and resilience.
Part II of this session will be project based, as we practice successful interview techniques and learn how to use our interactions with family and close relational partners to gather and understand our own family and individual narratives. This project will focus on interviewing family members to collect and preserve these meaningful narratives. Participants will learn to craft and share stories that strengthen family ties and personal legacy. This course offers a unique opportunity to connect generations and celebrate the enduring impact of storytelling. This program will take place via Zoom. Registration is required.
