Join Connor Murnane from The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) for a presentation on freedom of speech. FIRE’s mission is to defend and sustain the individual rights of all Americans to free speech and free thought — the most essential qualities of liberty. FIRE educates Americans about the importance of these inalienable rights, promotes a culture of respect for these rights, and provides the means to preserve them. Since its founding more than two decades ago, FIRE has become the nation’s leading defender of fundamental rights on college campuses through our unique mix of programming, including student and faculty outreach, public education campaigns, individual case advocacy, and policy reform efforts.

Jackets Vote, the Link Center and UW-Superior are nonpartisan and neither endorse nor oppose any political party, candidate, or viewpoint. This is a nonpartisan voter and civic education event/program for UW-Superior and the surrounding community.
