For a junior or senior Biology or Environmental Science major with an aquatic sciences focus. Recipients must have completed at least 20 credits of Biology or Chemistry classes at UW-Superior with a science GPA of 3.25 or higher. Preference given to students who are currently designing an aquatic research project with a member of the UW-Superior science faculty. Recipients may be eligible of renewal of the scholarship award for a second year if they maintain a 3.25 science GPA and make satisfactory progress on a research project and completion of their degree. Applicants must describe their proposed research activities and will be required to include a faculty/staff sponsor statement showing support for the project with their scholarship application.
Current students: Near the beginning of each calendar year, you will receive notification to your UW-Superior email account when it is time to apply for Foundation scholarships and how to do so. Applications usually open at the beginning of February and close at the beginning of March. Scholarships are awarded for the following academic year, beginning with the fall semester.
