A.D. Whealdon Scholarship

For students of academic merit majoring in Chemistry, preferably incoming freshmen.

Alumni Association Scholarship

Scholarships for incoming freshman and current undergraduate students. Incoming freshmen must be in the top 25 percent of their high school graduating class, and have a strong high school curriculum, ACT/SAT scores, and GPA. Current students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, must not be entering their last semester in the fall, and cannot receive more than $1,500 in additional UW-Superior Foundation scholarship support for the applicable academic year. Preference for one award to a resident of Wisconsin.

Arrowhead Fly Fishers Conservation Scholarship

For a junior or senior student who has been accepted into a Biology major with demonstrated focus on Ecology, Aquatic Biology, or Fishery Science, and has a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Blaine Diesslin and Lucy Barnes-Diesslin Scholarship

For an incoming freshman majoring in Math, Computer Science, or the Natural Sciences. The recipient will renew the award for up to three additional academic years if they continue to meet this criteria. This fund supports only one recipient at a time.

For students planning to enter engineering school and preparing with subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Design, etc.

Donald and Ruthanna Davidson Botany Research Scholarship

For a student majoring in Biology with an interest in botany. The student must be at least in their junior year and have a minimum GPA of 2.75. The student must be involved in botany research with a focus in floristics, plant ecology or plant geography as part of their undergraduate training. The research focus may be extended to botany-related topics on invasive species, any botany-related research through the Lake Superior Research Institute (LSRI), or terrestrial ecology.

For a full-time sophomore or junior student who has been admitted to the Chemistry or Biology program, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to graduates of Superior High School.
