About

Lana received her B.S. with a double major in Biology and Broad Field Science with a minor in Chemistry from Northland College in 2002 and the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2006. She worked as a research technician at the Center for Limnology, University of Wisconsin Trout Lake Station and as an assistant research specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. While earning her degree at UW-Superior, she was employed as a student assistant at the Lake Superior Research Institute.

In her spare time, Lana enjoys biking, reading, knitting, and crafting.

Research Interests

Lana is interested in research related to zooplankton in the Great Lakes. She is also interested in ballast water research as well as the spread of invasive species.
