If you’re someone who loves music and music teachers have impacted your life, you could make a difference in the lives of aspiring young musicians. UW-Superior’s music and education departments have a longstanding reputation for training highly qualified music educators. Nearly 100% of our music education alumni find jobs directly following graduation.

UW-Superior offers two K-12 music education programs to choose from: Instrumental and Choral. With a Music Education (Choral) major, you will earn a Bachelor of Music Education degree. This degree plan leads to a K-12 Wisconsin Music teaching license and includes required teacher certification coursework and one semester of student teaching. Our Field Experience Coordinator will help you find placements that fit your individual needs and goals. Though this track is focused on choral education, you will also be trained as an educator in general music and instrumental settings.

Visit the Music Department website for audition information, performance opportunities and more.

Nationally Accredited

UW-Superior’s music program is the most affordable in the area and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
