Scholarships

For Music majors with a piano focus, at least a 3.0 GPA, and financial need.

Scholarships for incoming freshman and current undergraduate students. Incoming freshmen must be in the top 25 percent of their high school graduating class, and have a strong high school curriculum, ACT/SAT scores, and GPA. Current students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, must not be entering their last semester in the fall, and cannot receive more than $1,500 in additional UW-Superior Foundation scholarship support for the applicable academic year. Preference for one award to a resident of Wisconsin.

For students majoring in Music with an emphasis on voice or violin.

For students in string music.

For students majoring in Music with an emphasis on choral, instrument, music education, or music performance.

For a student of academic merit with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 who is majoring in Music. Preference will be given to a student from Wisconsin or Minnesota.

For new or continuing students majoring in Music with emphasis on piano.

For music student(s) who exhibit excellence in jazz studies.

For students with a concentration in either choral or instrumental music who have shown dedication and integrity in their pursuit of a degree in Music Education. Student must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, must be at least a sophomore, and must demonstrate the disposition necessary for a career dedicated to nurturing the potential of their fellow humankind; i.e., the student demonstrates the development of knowledge, skills and dispositions as articulated in the criteria put forth in the Wisconsin Teacher Standards and especially the dispositions put forth in Standard #9: “The pre-student teacher engages in ongoing professional learning. The pre-student teacher uses evidence to continuously reflect on and evaluate their field teaching practice and all aspects of their degree studies, including the effects of their choices and actions on pupils, their families, other educators, and the community. The pre-student teacher adapts their practice to meet the needs of each pupil.”

For a music major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
