On Tuesday, November 4, the Superior Police Department will conduct a large-scale training exercise on the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus.
During the training exercise, several police vehicles will be visible on campus. Law enforcement officers will also be visible with training weapons, which are harmless and cannot fire.
“As the training will be taking place on our campus, the University Police Department will also be participating,” said Joe Eickman, chief of police for UW-Superior’s university police. “This will be a great opportunity to collaborate with the Superior Police Department and simulate an emergency situation that will test and train our unified response to complex cases that test the limits of our resources.”
