Student Support Services

What is TRIO Student Support Services?

Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program by the Department of Education designed to serve students who meet federal family income guidelines, who are first-generation college students (neither parent(s) nor guardian(s) has earned a four-year college degree), and/or who with documented disabilities. We do this through knowledge and advocacy.

The mission of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants while facilitating the transition from one level of education to the next. SSS provides opportunities for academic and personal development, assists with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students to successfully complete their postsecondary education.
