Abstract
This webinar will look at the foundations of math learning, focusing on mathematical reasoning and fluency. We will examine how the elementary learner’s mathematical reasoning progresses from counting strategies to proportional reasoning. We will answer the questions, “What is fluency?” and “How can I help my students develop their mathematical reasoning and improve their fluency?” We will also learn several best practice routines to go along with each level of mathematical reasoning.
