Alumni Association to host ‘Pours by the Shore’ on May 2

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Alumni Association is hosting a new event on Thursday, May 2. Pours by the Shore: Wine, Craft Beer, Music & More will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union and is open to the community.

The event will include the opportunity to sample a variety of wine, craft beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from Keyport Liquor, as well as a variety of delicious food, including desserts by Superior Waffles.

Attendees will enjoy the music of “Similar Dogs,” the unique duo of Joe Lindzius and Sarah Jane Hale.

Krisi (KP) Patterson, UW-Superior campus recreation program director, will serve as guest bartender, showing guests how to elevate their summer cocktails and mocktails.

Visit with the Lake Superior Research Institute (LSRI) and learn all about the Sadie Ann floating classroom, coming to Superior this summer. Each attendee will also receive a limited-edition Sadie Ann stemless wine glass to use during the event and to take home.

There will be a chance to win some great raffle prizes, including a ride on the Sadie Ann in 2025 and tickets to the association’s semi-formal event, A Superior Soirée, on October 12. A 50/50 raffle will also be held.

Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased online. A limited number will also be sold at the door. All proceeds will support scholarships and programming for UWS students and alumni.
