If you are unsure or would like to speak to someone about the complaint process and/or completing an electronic complaint, students can contact the Provost Office at provostoffice@uwsuper.edu or call 715-394-8449. The Provost Office is available to advise and support students through the Academic Complaint Process.
Use the process outlined below to address a complaint regarding course matters, final grade appeal, etc. If you are unsure or would like to speak to someone about the complaint process and/or completing an electronic complaint, students can contact the Provost Office at provostoffice@uwsuper.edu or call 715-394-8449. The Dean of Students Office is also available to advise and support students through the Academic Complaint Process and can be contacted at dos@uwsuper.edu.
Students must follow the process below, before submitting a complaint:
- Students must submit a grade-based complaint within four weeks of the end of the term.
- Contact the instructor’s academic department chair if you are not satisfied with the instructor’s resolution. The department chair will explain the department’s complaint resolution process and attempt to facilitate a resolution.
- Submit a complaint using the electronic link below if a satisfactory resolution is not achieved through the academic department chair and departmental processes.
Students must follow the process above before submitting a complaint.
How to Address a Complaint Related to Licensure, Quality, or Accreditation
If you have a complaint related to consumer protection law that includes but is not limited to fraud and false advertising, or you believe there is a violation of a state law or rule relating to the licensure of UW-Superior, and/or have a complaint related to the quality of education or accreditation requirement, use the below process.
- If you believe your complaint falls within the above parameters, please contact the Office of the Provost.
- If a resolution is not reached at the institution level, or if you believe that the nature of the complaint or its impact on the system as a whole warrant an immediate review by the Universities of Wisconsin Administration, view their website for additional information or file an electronic complaint here.
- If a resolution is not reached, you may find additional information or file a complaint through the Higher Learning Commission.
